If you're considering this mod, definitely get the DNA airfilter as well as the Stage 2 Lid to match (for the MT-07 Tracer).
From my research the MT 07 has a throttle restricter and intake manifold restriction at the air box from 41 down to 31mm, cp2 270deg cross plane motor essentially the same as the HO but with the bores sleeved down 2mm to reduce the CC's to meet lams then is mapped accordingly, no need to stuff with the ecu, just remove the throttle and air box restrictions Throttle response remains binary (either on or off) thoug-this can only be alleviated completely by de-cating the exhaust. Much smoother idle, now pulls from ~2k rpm as opposed to 4k. I was able to drive one gear higher after the mod. Significant torque gain throughout the rev range. after mods in blue, (this bike also has a roughly $800 Arrow exhaust. Jump to Latest Follow So this is the tiny little hole that passes for our air intake, (it sits on top of the filter), you can get a K&N hi-flo but that intake is going to be your bottle neck. This allows users to modify the airbox while maintaining the ability to use filter. You can see the initial rough cut above required along with the final modification of the airbox required in the photo below. This does require irreversible modification to the stock airbox by removing the left side of box. Allows users the ability to 3d print a modification to the stock FZ-07 / MT-07 Intake.
